The successes continue this year as well - in the first quarter of 2024, revenue growth of over 15% was achieved, in May Transfera established a joint company in Belgrade with Rail Cargo Group, a member of the Austrian State Railways (ÖBB Group), while at the beginning of the year Transfera became the exclusive logistics partner of the German company DSD Noell GmbH in the reconstruction project of the ship lock at the Đerdap 2 hydroelectric plant.
In the following period, the company`s focus remains on regional growth and development, digitization of operations and the introduction of innovative technologies, as well as the expansion of Transfer`s logistics park and storage capacities.
Transfera and Rail Cargo Group - A new chapter in sustainable transport
The companies Transfera and Rail Cargo Group, the rail cargo division of the Austrian State Railways (ÖBB Group), recently signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint company.
The joint newly founded company based in Belgrade will primarily focus on the development of intermodal logistics solutions, which, along with added value for production and trading companies from Serbia, will also represent important progress in the field of environmentally sustainable logistics.
On this occasion, the General Manager of Transfera Duško Radović emphasized that intermodal transport represents the future of logistics and that new standards in the industry can be set by establishing a joint company.
Bosnia and Herzegovina market with great potential
When we talk about the focus on regional development, it is important to mention that the Transfer company took a step towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and opened its representative office in this country. The needs of long-term clients for integrated logistics solutions in this part of the region influenced the decision that, after the representative office in the People`s Republic of China, the next step should be Transfera Bosna.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina market is particularly important for Transfera because of the potential for growth, improvement of the business environment and trends in the transport industry that can be used to expand operations and create new business opportunities outside of Serbia.
The company boasts two new business units in Sarajevo and Nova Gradiška.
Green transition and digitization
As a company strategically committed to sustainable business, Transfera recognizes its responsibility and obligation to participate in overcoming the environmental challenges of today.
Last November, Transfera, in cooperation with Rail Cargo Group, established the first freight train from Kruševac to Western Europe, which represents an important step in the development of green transport in the region.
Another important step towards achieving greater sustainability is the project of installing solar panels on the roof surface of Transfera`s logistics center (TLC1) in Novi Banovci, with which the company has started the process of transitioning to sustainable energy sources.
The company is constantly improving its business in every domain, striving to be a reliable partner for its clients and associates. The previous year, Transfera was certified by the ISO 27001 standard, which refers to information security, which means that end users are protected at the highest level when it comes to data and IT infrastructure security.
Transfera are its employees!
No success, however, would be possible without the people who are the biggest asset of Transfera. Among approximately 500 employees across the region, the company boasts an enthusiastic team with an average age of 35, indicating a balance between experience and youthful energy.
The company has been closely cooperating with the faculties of the University of Belgrade for many years, and the HR sector pays special attention to the recruitment of young talents without previous work experience, giving them the opportunity to start their career in logistics.
Transfera does not forget those who need help the most. From the beginning of the business until today, it organizes humanitarian actions and provides assistance to numerous associations such as Children`s Shelter, Home for Children and Youth Without Parental Care, Mother and Child Institute, UNICEF, Food Bank, Association of Parents of Children with Malignancies and other rare diseases.
