From Saturday, at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, 30 new people will be employed, announced the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, and added that he hoped that the situation with the crowding and flights being late would be stabilized.

Vesic added on RTS that, the next week, the Civil Aviation Directorate would open a contest for two new land operators which would do the check-in at the Nikola Tesla Airport.

– They will be competition for Vinci, but that’s the practice worldwide. At the Paris airport, there are around ten land operators. That competition is good, because it will raise the service quality – Vesic said.

The minister said that airline carriers chose the land operator they would work with and pay for the services, thereby making all others raise the service quality.
