Reconstruction of the railroads Pancevo-Vrsac-Romanian border and Pancevo-Zrenjanin-Kikinda-Romanian border announced

Serbia will reconstruct two regional railways, important for the citizens of Serbia and Romania, namely the railway Pancevo-Vrsac-Romanian border and Pancevo-Zrenjanin-Kikinda-Romanian border. This was announced by the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesic, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Romania to Serbia, Silvia Davidoiu, regarding the traffic connection between the two countries, the ministry's website reports.

The minister stated that it would be important to reestablish the train connection between Serbia and Romania, terminated due to disagreements over debts, and proposed the establishment of a Ministry Working Group between the two countries, which would monitor the implementation of joint projects. The European Union could be implored for financial assistance.

- We want to resolve that issue and re-establish the train between Serbia and Romania - emphasized Vesic.
