Belgrade Considering Construction of Dance Center in Staklenac Location at Republic Square

Belgrade is considering locations for the raising of the Dance Center in the Serbian capital, announced the deputy mayor, Goran Vesic.

– Several locations are being considered, but we are most likely to decide to have the Dance Center opened in the current Staklenac location at the Republic Square, which is designated for a cultural facility anyway. A subway station is planned in that spot, above which will be a parking area, and then we will open an international contest for the raising of a cultural facility. That way, we will affirm local troupes, which will stand shoulder to shoulder with world-class artists in the future – Vesic announced.

Today, he attended the announcement of the Belgrade Dance Festival, under the slogan “We Believe in One Dance”. The festival will be held between March 16 and April 12 in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Pancevo.
