Chinese company commissions design of pavement structure of first highway through Banat – AG Institut from Novi Sad gets invitation for job worth EUR 4.6 million

The Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed International, the branch Planning & Design Company KFT, which is building the first highway through Banat, on the Belgrade-Zrenjanin-Novi Sad route, has opened the direct procurement of the project of the pavement structure on both sections of the highway (Belgrade-Zrenjanin and Zrenjanin-Novi Sad).

AG-Uns Arhitektonsko-gradjevinski Institut doo Novi Sad has been invited into the procedure, and the reason cited is that AG Institut also prepared the preliminary design of the highway and that it has good cooperation with the Chinese company.

The value of the procurement is slightly over EUR 4.6 million.

The highway, the beginning of whose construction was officially marked in December last year, will be around 103.4 kilometers long, with four lanes in both directions (including the lanes for emergency situations). The first section of 67.66 kilometers long and goes from Belgrade to Zrenjanin, and the second is 35.74 kilometers long and goes from Zrenjanin to Novi Sad. Also, an additional 25.35 kilometers of a state highway, for the alternative road Zabalj-Novi Sad, has been moved, so the total length of the road amounts to 128.75 kilometers.
