The Chinese company China Communications Construction Company, which is building the Preljina-Pozega highway, has published the tender for the construction of driving lanes in the tunnels Laz and Munjino Brdo.

As specified in the tendering documentation, the invitation pertains to two subsections: km 131+485 – km 134+750 and km 141+973 – km 144+809.

The job encompasses the works on the construction of the driving lanes, including the load-bearing layer, the paving and the construction of the curbs.

The works on the first section, which pertains to the Laz tunnel, should start in July this year, and the completion deadline is three months, according to the specification of the tender.

It is added that the deadline for the completion of the second subsection (in the Munjino Brdo tunnel) is also three months, but the date of the beginning of the works has not been specified.

Bids may be sent by April 5, and more details can be found HERE.

The competent minister Goran Vesic tweeted four days ago that the first tube of the Laz tunnel had been bored through, and that the second tube would be bored through around a month later.

The boring through of the second tunnel on the route, Munjino Brdo, is expected by the end of the year, Vesic stated earlier.

According to the latest announcements, the Preljina-Pozega section on the Milos Veliki highway should be completely finished by the end of this year, but as eKapija wrote recently, it seems that the deadline will be moved to next year, because the contract for the companies which are supervising the works has been extended by June 2024.
