Project of Construction of Bypass Route Around Uzice Confirmed – Bridge on the Djetinja 260 Meters Long, 7 More Bridges to Be Built

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia has confirmed the urban project of the construction of the bypass route around Uzice, whose investor is the PE Roads of Serbia.

A bridge on the Djetinja river with a length of cca 260 meters is planned immediately at the beginning of the route, following the de-leveled intersection “Surduk”.

In addition to the bridge of the Djetinja river, in order to be able to cross the terrain depressions along the traffic route, 7 bridge structures with spans ranging from 20 to 130 meters are planned, the project says.

Let us remind that the construction of the bypass route around Uzice has been pronounced a project of national interest, and in March last year, the agreement on designing and construction worth EUR 29.8 million was signed with the Chinese company Power Construction Corporation of China Limited, when the preparatory works on the route began as well.

Following the confirmation of the urban project, the issuing of the building permit is expected in the spring, and the works, according to earlier announcements, should be completed next year.
