National Health Insurance Fund Sets Aside Over EUR 8 Million for Procurement of Stents

The National Health Insurance Fund has published the public invitation for the procurement of coronary stents for 2022 in the amount of RSD 999,976,750 without the VAT, which is slightly over EUR 8.33 million.

If we take into account that heart diseases have been the leading cause of death in Serbia for years now and that over 50,000 people die from them each year, it is no wonder that the procurement of stents requires several millions to be set aside.

A survey from 2019 showed that every third adult had increased blood pressure and that each 11th had coronary disease or angina pectoris.

Bids may be submitted by June 23.
