Amendments to the Law on Financial Support to Families with Children were adopted at the session of the Government of Serbia, which, among other things, entail that, from January 1, a one-off payment of RSD 300,000 is made for each firstborn child, RTS learns.

The aid to women for the firstborn child has so far amounted to RSD 100,000, and the Government of Serbia confirmed at yesterday’s session the amendments to the Law on Financial Support to Families with Children, based on which the amount will be tripled from next year.

As Tanjug reports, the proposed decision features another big amendment to the Law – a new section which will regulate the issue of financial support for construction participation in the purchase or the purchase of a family-residential building or an apartment based on the birth of a child.

The mother will be registered as the owner of the property.
