– This will definitely solve the problem on the left coast of the Danube, that is, everybody will be connected to the sewer system. What’s even more important, all waste waters will be treated and poured into the Danube filtered – pointed out the deputy mayor.
He reminded that the tender for the construction of the waste water treatment facility had been published.
– Another two tenders will follow, among others, the tender for the construction of the sewer system itself, worth close to EUR 50 million, of which EUR 35 million is provided by the European Investment Bank, whereas EUR 15 million is provided by the City of Belgrade.
Vesic also announced the beginning of the construction of the biggest waste water treatment facility in Veliko Selo, which is financed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and which is worth EUR 285 million.
He added that there were negotiations with foreign creditors in order to secure support for the construction of the full sewer system and the waste water treatment facility in Kaludjerica.
