The President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabic, stated that the opposition does not want a dialogue on lithium mining and that it views it is a political struggle, while the government, as she said, talks about this topic with arguments and facts. Brnabic told Prva TV that in lithium mining, Serbia, on projects that are far more dangerous, was overtaken Germany and Finland, where open pit mining is commencing.

She said that she believes that lithium mining can be safe, and that what the representatives of the opposition are presenting are lies and completely unsubstantiated arguments.

- We are now entering a twilight zone with these protests (against lithium) - said Brnabic, who added that the opposition's only political argument against the government will be "you are Satanists".

Brnabic accused the opposition representatives of making Serbia the periphery of Europe and the periphery of the world.

The President of the Assembly accused members of the opposition that, whereas they are currently calling for protests over lithium mining, in 2008 they sold 90% of the water source to foreigners.
