Construction of lookout, tubing lane and zipline on Divcibare soon

In May, the Tourism Organization of Valjevo signed the agreement with the Ministry of Tourism of Serbia for the realization of the project “The Platform for the Mali Golubac Lookout on Divicibare”. The total value of the project is RSD 18,000,000, of which the Ministry of Tourism and Youth is to set aside RSD 15 million, and the City of Valjevo RSD 3,000,000.

– We announced that project immediately after obtaining the building permit and, in the coming weeks, we are expecting the contractor and the beginning of the construction. We shouldn’t forget that this is a location where a landfill used to be. The Mali Golubac Lookout will be realized in the place which connects Mali Golubac and Veliki Golubac and be a place where those who love nature can enjoy themselves. Golubac is one of the most beautiful peaks on the Maljen Mountain, providing an incredible view. This project is designed so as to use the potential of Golubac to the maximum. It will have a place for sitting, a platform from which you will be able to enjoy an incredible view to a good part of Serbia – said Vladimir Blagojevic, the member of the Council in charge of the development of Divcibare.

According to him, in the next couple of weeks, the contractor and the beginning of the construction of the tubing lane and the zipline are expected as well.

– The City of Valjevo and the Ministry of Tourism have signed the agreement on the installation of a tubing lane, which will be one of the longest such lanes in Serbia, with 126 meters, but also a mini zipline of 40 meters. The value of this project is RSD 31.3 million, of which the ministry is to set aside 26 million, and the city the remaining RSD 5.3 million. These are the kinds of attractions that can’t be found just anywhere, especially the tubing lane, not just for children, but for adults as well – says Blagojevic.

Said investments amount to a total of nearly RSD 50 million, and the marking of the Divcibare Legend location, with stone and wood panels, in 12 locations, describing the legend itself, is well on its way.
