Vesic: Fast Route Backa Palanka-Novi Sad Being Designed

While visiting towns and municipalities in Serbia, the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, made a stop in Bac. There, Vesic visited the construction sites where streets were being rebuilt and pointed out that, in 2023, over EUR 2 million had been invested in that municipality in Backa. However, even more important than this piece of information is that two larger infrastructure projects have been announced for Bac and Backa Palanka. These are the construction of the Bac-Odzaci road and the designing of the fast route Backa Palanka-Novi Sad.

– Investments in local self-governments will continue, especially when it comes to larger local and regional roads. At the moment, the Backa Palanka-Novi Sad fast route is being designed. The residents of Bac will be able to reach Srem, Macva, or Semberija via that road. Among the most important works in this area is also the construction of the Bac-Odzaci road, over 20 km long, which we will build next year. That will provide Bac with a strong and stable connection with the fast route “Vojvodina Smile”, whose construction begins on December 13 – Vesic said.

The details of the dynamics of the completion of the designing of the new fast route Backa Palanka-Novi Sad, or about the potential beginning of infrastructural works on it, have not been disclosed.
