Begovic: Serbia Working Intensively on Perfecting and Expanding Infrastructure for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Serbia is working intensively on perfecting and expanding the infrastructure for electric and hybrid vehicles, said the minister of science, technological development and innovations, addressing the participants in the conference “Electric Vehicle Days” (EV Days).

As she added, through our strategic efforts, we have managed to attract investments, as shown by the presence of very important and large companies in these fields which have decided to open research-development centers in our country, it is pointed out on the website of the Government of Serbia.

Begovic emphasized that Serbia was aware of the present moment and that it worked actively on taking a leading position in that field.

She said that Serbia was one of the five countries in Europe whose governments had issued a permit for level-3 autonomous vehicles.

– Serbia is the first state in Southeast Europe to adopt the Strategy for Development of Artificial Intelligence, following which the Institute for Artificial Intelligence opened not long after – Begovic said and added that the country was open to investors, innovators and experts from the whole world and that there were numerous tax exemptions adopted by the Government of Serbia to motivate companies to do research and development.
