Confirmations and Decisions on TIN to Be Issued Exclusively Electronically from Tomorrow

From December 1, the taxpayers will be getting the confirmations and decisions on their tax identification numbers (TINs) in an electronic form exclusively, through the Tax Administration portal, in their tax postboxes.

– A notification on the delivery of the confirmation or the decision will also be sent to the taxpayers who have submitted, on their profiles on the TA portal, their contact information, by email or phone. The date of the reception of the act in the tax postbox will be considered the delivery date – the TA announced.

From now on, exclusively electronically, the taxpayers will receive:

– the confirmation about a successful registration, that is, the confirmation about the TIN on the form for the newly founded taxpayers and taxpayers which change the information about the name and the address (REG form);
– the confirmation about unregistering from the unified register of taxpayers on the TA form;
– the decision on the TIN being revoked or returned;
– the decision on rejecting the request for having the temporarily revoked TIN returned.

According to the Tax Administration, the new manner of delivery enables the taxpayers to gain a quicker insight into the reasons for the revocation of the TIN.

– The procedure of submitting the request for returning the TIN remains unchanged. The request is submitted to the competent organizational unit of the Tax Administration in a paper form or in an electronic form by email – it is added in the announcement.


The TA reminds that, in order to access their portal, the taxpayer needs to have a qualified electronic certificate with a chip issued by one of the certification bodies in the Republic of Serbia.

– In case the taxpayer does not have a qualified electronic certificate, they can authorize another person, a resident of Serbia, by filing the PEP form to the competent branch office of the TA. If they do have a valid qualified electronic certificate, the authorization for filing a tax return electronically on the PEP form is filed through the electronic service of the Tax Administration.
