This is what the expressway to Valjevo looks like under construction

Works on the construction of the expressway Iverak-Lajkovac, connecting Valjevo with the Milos the Great highway, are underway and the PE Roads of Serbia published a video on their official Youtube channel showcasing the construction works.

The expressway will have two lanes in both directions, and is designed for speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.

In addition to connecting Valjevo and the highway, it will also connect areas of Republika Srpska with the highway, and further away, via Corridor 10, with Bulgaria and Greece.

To reiterate, in December last year, a Chinese loan was confirmed for this section, and earlier this month, the Government adopted the Draft Law on confirming the Loan Agreement between the Chinese Export-Import Bank and the Republic of Serbia. This law calls for a loan of EUR 134.3 million.
