The report of the rating agency Moody’s says that “the credit profile of the City of Belgrade (Ba2 Stable) is indicative of a firm fiscal management which has resulted in a good financial performance and a recorded lowering of debts”, Beoinfo reports.
– This rating is also down to the fact that Belgrade, as the capital and the biggest economic center in the country, realizes nearly 40% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Serbia. This year, an economic growth of around 5% is expected, which will help the city maintain its good financial position. At the same time, this rating also takes into consideration the city’s needs for big investments, due to the pressure which comes from the transport company – the report says.
The stable outlook reflects the stable outlook of the rating. It also reflects Moody’s expectations that Belgrade will be able to maintain its overall good and stable financial performance and the moderate debt level.
Moody’s expect that “the liquidity of Belgrade will improve” in 2021 and 2022.
