EIB is ready to expand activities in Serbia
President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Werner Hoyer outlined that the institution is ready to expand cooperation in Serbia.
- We have been very active in Serbia and ready to expand our activities- he said for Tanjug a the margins of the Summit 100 SEE leaders in Portoroz- It is a deciding thing we have economically sustainable and implementable projects. If criteria is fulfilled with respect to numerous factors, social issues to environmental standards, there is a possibility to expand cooperation with Serbia – he announced.
Hoyer in Portoroz spoke about the plan of the president of EC, Jean-Claude Juncker for new awakening of European economy and potential effects for the west Balkans.
Hoyer outlined the plan implies support of cross-border project which will comprise EU neighboring countries as well.
He said Junker’s plan should recover EU economy. According to him, the plan aims at closing two holes – investment and in innovation field.
Hoyer outlined Junker’s plan implies investment projects in EU and it contains a number of cross-border projects which will comprise neighboring regions of the Union such as SEE.
