Overview

Mali Iđoš is a municipality spreading across the area of 181 km², located in the northern part of Bačka region. Besides the settlement Mali Iđoš, the municipality also includes two other settlements: Feketić and Lovćenac. Mali Iđoš is 134 km away from Belgrade Airport and 54 km from Novi Sad.

Population

The municipality has 13,494 inhabitants with the majority of Hungarian and Serb population. Today, there are 2,075 unemployed persons in the municipality out of 8,923 persons of working age.

Economy

The fact that almost 90% of the land surface accounts for farmland determines the economic structure of the municipality. Therefore, food-processing industry, especially meat-processing plays an important role in the municipality. However, trade, crafts, and catering are not less important. Large hunting grounds have been organized in agricultural lands.

Infrastructure

Future development of the Municipality will focus on the international E 75 motorway, and the territory stretching along it. Beside the motorway, in the 1,000 metres long corridor, a section with special construction and utilization regime is planned.

Tourism

In addition to the artificial lake located in the Municipality, there is a very attractive tourist and recreation centre Zobnatica, visited by over 35,000 annually. It is renowned for its horse farm with a 200 year-long tradition of horse breeding.

Site: “Građamont“, Mali Iđoš

Total area: 4 ha 36 a 26 m2

Type of ownership: Property of the joint-stock company “Građamont“

Intended use: Construction of industrial plants and warehouses

Site description

The site is located 5 km off the E 75 motorway. There are 14 one-story structures in relatively good condition, constructed in the late 1970s.

Infrastructure

The site has access to sewerage reticulation, as well as to power and water supply systems.

Additional information

The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals for construction on the site is 30 days. The necessary planning and regulatory documentation already exists, such as the settlements of Mali Iđoš, Lovćenac and Feketić General Development Plan.

LOCATION 2

Site: Business Park, Mali Iđoš

Total area: 20 ha

Type of ownership: Municipal property (10%) and Limited Liability Company "Small Steps" (90%)

Intended use: Industrial plant

Site description:

The site is located 500 m off the E 75 motorway, with M 22 principal road in the vicinity.

Infrastructure:

The site does not have access to infrastructure utilities.

Additional information:

There is a possibility of lease of the location. The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals for making alternations or reconstruction of the structures is 60 days. All the necessary planning and regulatory documentation already exists (Bela Crkva General Development Plan).
