Regional Innovation Smart City Center Opens in Mali Zvornik
The minister for innovations and technological development of Serbia, Nenad Popovic, has opened the Regional Innovation Smart City Center in Mali Zvornik, a joint space for the operations of the future technological enterprises in that part of Serbia, for whose development and equipping RSD 20 million was set aside, the ministry announced.
The minister pointed out that young innovators would be provided with state-of-the-art equipment and a space developed in line with the world standards in this smart city center, as well as the strongest mentorship support, both from Serbia and abroad, for starting a business and commercializing their ideas in the market.
He added that young people from the Republic of Srpska would also be able to use this center, especially those from the nearby town of Zvornik, which has a great base of engineers at the Faculty of Technology.
– The Smart City Center in Mali Zvornik is becoming part of an integrated innovation ecosystem with over 20 startup and smart city centers and technology parks in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Nis and Cacak – Popovic said and added that the goal was for the users of those centers to cooperate and exchange ideas and knowledge.
The Regional Innovation Smart City Center in Mali Zvornik, in addition to a joint work space of 165 m2, also has office space, kitchens, a presentation room, a meeting and video-conference hall, server halls and state-of-the-art tech equipment, the ministry says in its announcement.
