SoftBank Startup Accelerator Launched in Europe – Mentorship and Direct Investments
SoftBank has launched the Emerge accelerator program in Europe to the end of connecting entrepreneurs with a diverse socio-economic background with capital, tools and networks in order to help them develop. The program is open to European startups with at least one founder who belongs to a racial minority, LGBTQ+ community, or is female, a person with a disability or a displaced person.
The European version of the program is based on the success of the American Emerge program, which invested USD 5 million in 13 startups last summer.
The selected candidates will enter an eight-week accelerator which enables cooperation with experienced managers and companies which will provide mentorship and education sessions. Furthermore, the participants in the Emerge program will get direct investments in order to additionally stimulate the growth.
