Biggest European energy startup contest open for Serbian companies – Application deadline September 11
Reduction of costs of heating buildings by using solar energy, a heating pump and a patented heat exchanger or a project enabling the saving of energy by cooling devices are only some of the winning projects at last year's PowerUp! contest organized by InnoEnergy.
The new invitation for projects is a part of the third edition of the biggest contest for startups from the sector of sustainable energy in 23 countries of Central and East Europe, the Baltic countries and a part of the Mediterranean. As the organizers reported, the application started on June 19 and lasts until September 11, 2017, and interested companies can submit their ideas to powerup.innoenergy.com.
The winners stand to receive monetary awards, as well as access to the prestigious Highway by InnoEnergy accelerator. Young entrepreneurs are offered new knowledge and considerable support in developing and copyrighting their products, entering the market, team building or gaining access to initial financing. Furthermore, they can be in constant contact with up to 150 biggest partners operating in the field of energy, facilitating the entrance to the global market for them, it is stated.

Competition is a platform for presenting ideas which otherwise might go unnoticed and is a strong support to developing innovations in the sector of sustainable energy in Central and East Europe. The winning technologies and other ideas the realization of which is made possible this way will help Europe in its struggle for environmental protection, and, following the commercialization, they may have a global impact with the help of InnoEnergy – says Jakub Miller, CEO of InnoEnergy Poland Plus.
As the press release adds, prior to the big Budapest final and 15 regional finals, intensive workshops will be organized. The teams will be given an opportunity to develop the details of the projects and present them to experts and investors.
