The American-Serbian company Frame has secured the new USD 16 million, and the company says that the new funds are meant for employing software engineers and expanding the sales and marketing, especially in Europe and Asia.

The investment was headed by funds Bain Capital Ventures, In-Q-Tel and CNTP, which led the previous round, as well as Microsoft ventures, the investment branch of one of the biggest and most famous technological companies of today.

Let us remind that Frame secured USD 10 million in the previous investment round and that it has opened offices in Belgrade since. Today, Frame employs 30 people in San Francisco, Belgrade and Nis, and the company enables numerous world organizations to transfer desktop apps and software tools to a cloud.

Nikola Bozinovic, CEO and founder, says that the entire team is especially glad that Microsoft itself is among the investors, the company which, until mid-2016 used to develop its own cloud computing solution called Azure Remote App. Unlimited resources, however, couldn't prevent the program from being discarded, and Microsoft itself announced its termination and focusing on infrastructural services, Nikola adds.

Talking about current operations, Bozinovic reveals for Netokracija that big companies, such as Adobe, Autodesk, HP and Siemens, are already among the clients actively replacing their desktop computers with products such as Frame, which require only a browser and an internet connection. The list of clients includes state services of the United States of America, which is another big step forward for this American-Serbian company – Frame is slowly entering the entire state administration.

– We see our opportunity in customers that invest great funds in order to secure sensitive data and prevent the spreading of viruses and computer attacks, the number of which is constantly growing – Bozinovic added and concluded that countries throughout the world were interested in Frame and that the team developing the product in Serbia would like to see its product used in the local market as well.
