Transport Company "Vojvodina" opens new bus station in Novi Sad
The new long-distance and international bus station will be opened tomorrow (January 18, 2007) in Novi Sad.
The new station, next to the old one, was built 2.5 years ago by the privatized Transportation Company "Vojvodina" on the nearby location on 6 ha. According to the words of the owner of this company, Ilija Dević, 25m EUR have been invested so far into the construction of the building and service shop, as well as in procurement of 30 up-to-date buses.
- The bus station is the most beautiful in this part of Europe. It will have 24 platforms, 40 parking places for buses, restaurant, boutiques and other contents - said Dević.
According to the announcement, the station will be opened by the Mayor of Novi Sad, Maja Gojković, whereas the modern service shop for the buses of makes "Mercedes" and "Setra" will be opened by the Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo.
