Which locations in Belgrade are most attractive for construction of shopping malls – review of experience of company "EFG Property Services"
- At this moment, Belgrade lacks four or five well-equipped shopping malls or shopping centers, since that number completely coincides with the present situation on local market, as well as with the current possibility that these trade centers do business in the way that would be acceptable to them – said general manager of company "EFG Property Services", Goran Kuridža, in the interview for "Ekapija".
According to him, the number of four or five adequately supplied and well-settled shopping malls could completely satisfy all demands of the buyers in Belgrade, as well as the demand for commercial space, outlets, stores, etc.

- At the moment, in Belgrade, as well as in Serbia, there is no real shopping mall like those in the West. However, realization of few such projects have already started and we can expect that the industry of shopping malls will have the real expansion prior to year 2008 – Kuridža points out.
As far as current most attractive locations for construction of shopping malls in Belgrade are concerned, general manager of "EFG Property Services" says that these are the locations along Niš-Zagreb highway, along other junctions of regional importance and, especially, locations along the route of future Round Main Ring that should be built soon around Belgrade.
Kuridža says that the trend of construction of such facilities outside the very center of the city has been present all over the world for years and that, because of that, "the circle of tram 2" is something that "EFG" would never offer to a potential investor.
- Belgrade, of course, is not the only interesting location in Serbia for construction of shopping malls. There are also Novi Sad and Niš, which should obtain their first shopping centers prior to mid-2007 and 2008. "EFG" is directly engaged in both projects in the similar way as it is included in the project for construction of shopping center "Ušće", which should be put into operation prior to the mid-2008 – says Kuridža.
