How will Lustica Bay look like? - Take a peek at tourist town near Tivat
A new tourist town on the Lustica Peninsula in the Bay of Kotor, whose construction should commence April, will feature its own agricultural zone to supply food to tourists and the owners of private houses in that settlement.
Representatives of the Lustica Development company, member of the Egyptian-Swiss consortium Orascom, have presented in Tivat designs for that resort, which is supposed to be built on the peninsula between Tivat and Herceg Novi.
As it was announced, the work should kick off next month, and the first phase of this tourist town is expected to be completed by 2017.
A major part of an area spanning about seven million square meters will be turned into vegetable gardens and cultivated fields where local farmers will grow vegetables and fruits for tourists and local inhabitants of this new settlement dubbed Lustica Bay in the designs.
According to an earlier agreement between the Montenegrin government, the Orascom company and the Tivat municipality, Lustica Bay should comprise tourist facilities with suites, private houses, golf courses and other sports and recreational facilities as well as a marina for yachts.
The sales agreement, worth EUR 1.1 million, should be implemented in phases by 2030.
