Reconstruction of Obrenovac Hotel to kick off in September 2013 - Project worth RSD 351 million

Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Finance and Economy has set aside RSD 351 million for the renovation of Obrenovac Hotel, it was announced on the website of the Obrenovac municipality.

- The hotel will be completely renovated to get back its old fame from the time when various celebrations, weddings and proms used to be organized here. Also, we cound on tourists visiting Belgrade and technical excursions as part of the tour of TENT. Once the spa center is completed and the swimming pool reconstructed, we will have a real tourist offer in this part of Belgrade - said Miroslav Cuckovic, the mayor of Obrenovac.

According to Zaklina Crnobrnja from the Investment Department of the Obrenovac municipality, work will be carried out in three phases.

- The first phase is the most complicated and includes the reconstruction of approaches, hotel entrances, reception desk, restaurant, kitchen, rooms, facade and roof cover as well as all electrical and mechanical installations. The second phase will see the reconstruction of the hotel parts to which guests have no access, such as workshops, pantries and other space necessary for normal functioning of the hotel. The third phase involves the reconstruction of accompanying facilities, such as the club and the gym - Crnobrnja explained.

Reconstruction is expected to commence in September and end in the summer 2014.
