Italnis still owes municipal taxes to Nis - November 9th set as new deadline

Although the deadline for Italnis to pay municipal taxes expired October 31st, the mayor of Nis has given this Italian company time until next Friday to pay the money, the newspaper Juzne Vesti reported.

Italnis Director Bojan Stanisavljevic said in a statement to Juzne Vesti few days ago that they had filed a request for the calculation and payment in installments with the City Development Directorate.

However, Mayor Zoran Perisic confirmed November 2nd that the money had not been paid.

Perisic said he was aware of the fact that if Italnis failed to pay municipal taxes until next Friday, the agreement would be terminated and there would most probably be a court dispute, but he stressed that the City must be ready for that. As he explained, they definitely want to have an aqua park built in Nis, but it is much worse to have the land designated for that complex left unused for such a long time.
