Keys handed over to first tenants of Stepa Stepanovic complex in Belgrade
As of today, Vozdovac-based Stepa Stepanovic complex is open to tenants. The keys to apartments have already been handed over to 80 families. Construction of a residential complex on the site of former barracks commenced 16 months ago, and four buildings with the total of 500 apartments have been finished to date.
The plan is to build a total of 4,616 apartments in 44 buildings on the building site spanning 42 hectares. There will be a total of 434,000 square meters of residential and office space.
The keys were handed over to the first tenants in the presence of Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, Minister of Environment Protection Oliver Dulic and the presidential candidate Boris Tadic.
- We are probably the first generation to bring the implementation of such big projects to its end. In this way, the state has returned to the residential development in a big way - Dulic said and added that all apartments were built in line with the standards of the 21st century Europe, using almost only domestic materials.
