Kolonija 11421 invests in recreation facility - Smederevska Palanka to get EUR 1 million sports complex until March 2012
If you haven't had a chance to visit Smederevska Palanka up till now, then the new sports complex, which should be built in this town until March 2012, will definitely be a reason for you to do so. This complex, spanning 55 ares, will provide all visitors with an opportunity to spend a day playing sports or relaxing with their friends or family.
The company Kolonija 11421 will invest nearly EUR 1 million in the sports center in Smederevske Palanka. Dusan Milojevic, director of aforementioned company, says in an interview for eKapija that they have chosen this town because the idea was to build a sports center in a place lacking a similar facility.
The future sports center will comprise 3 inflatable arenas with a wooden structure. It will be covered by a special German canvas, which has not been used in southeast Europe to date, and it will be delivered by Belgrade-based ArTech.
- These inflatable arenas will differ in size and shape because an idea of the project team was to give them an unusual look to deviate from their classical shape.
According to Mr. Milojevic, the court in the first out of three arenas will be covered with artificial grass and used for futsal only. The second arena will feature a multipurpose court for basketball, volleyball, handball, whereas the third arena will be used exclusively for tennis and its court will be covered with artificial grass in the color of clay.
In addition to inflatable arenas, the complex will also include an outdoor mini pitch for futsal and a coffee shop spanning 200 square meters. There will also be a modernly equipped playground for children. The remaining area within the complex, spanning about 70 square meters, will feature outlets whose purpose has not been determined yet, but it should match the purpose of the sports center.
The design for the future complex is done by Belgrade-based Arhiram, which is also the contractor for the works that commenced 4 months ago.
The sports center in Smederevska Palanka will employ about 20 people for a start, and Milojevic expects that number to grow once the complex gains in popularity.
