Kragujevac expects world-renowned hotel chains - City management offers location near Lake Bubanj

Over the last few years Kragujevac has been registering a significant increase in the number of overnight stays, primarily in the sector of business tourism. Accelerated economic development led by Fiat`s investment in Kragujevac and commencement of operations of the partners of that factory in the location of Grosnica, along with the significant positioning of Sumadija Fair, has urged the owners of private hotels to start the reconstruction and expansion of the three largest hotels in Kragujevac at the moment.

Besides, the sector of boarding accommodation, garni hotels and similar smaller catering facilities is experiencing a real expansion. In the last few months, several such hotels were opened in Kragujevac. Among them are the hotel of the company Tri O and Zeneva Lux hotel. The management of Tri O has announced that the new hotel with 24 suites and 39 beds is intended for the Italian experts who work at Fiat. Most owners claim that the occupancy rate in their accommodation capacities amounts to about 80 percent on annual basis, which is an exceptional business result even for hotels at famous tourist destinations or large cities worldwide where huge funds are spent on marketing and market positioning every year.

Aside from everything that is currently going on, and with the anticipation of future events in the sphere of business in Kragujevac, the fact is that the city requires a facility of one of the world-renowned hotel chains in order to satisfy all standards of foreign business tourists and contemporary business people.

For that reason, the city of Kragujevac has prepared a location of about 53 ares for the future hotel of business class in one of the most attractive parts of the city, at the bank of Lake Bubanj, in the vicinity of Jezero sports hall, next to Lepenicki Boulevard, which is also the entrance to the city of Kragujevac from the direction of highway to Batocina. The plan is that the future hotel has the maximum gross building area of 7,600 square meters.

Therefore, the city rightfully expects to quickly find an investor for this unique project among the world-renowned hotel chains. By building a hotel in Kragujevac, that investor will position in the market as an inevitable partner of all businessmen coming to the center of Sumadija.
