Indoor tennis court, exhibition space, restaurant and fountain in center of Banja Koviljaca - Paul sports and recreation hall opens in August

(Banja Koviljaca)

If the plans of Pejak Handel come true, Banja Koviljaca spa resort will get a sports and recreation hall in August, which is only a part of a 5.5 ha complex in the center of this tourist place.

- Reconstruction of the sports and recreation hall Paul in Banja Koviljaca is underway, and the works are planned to be finished in late July. Former dyehouse will be turned into a new hall spanning 2,550 square meters – Branko Pejak, owner of aforementioned company and the investor, explains for eKapija.

The total value of the investment is about EUR 420,000, and the hall will be 125 meters long and 18.5 meters wide.

Pejak says that the most difficult works have already been completed and that an easy part needs to be done now.

- The roof is finished, which will make future works significantly easier because bad weather conditions will not prevent us from doing our job. More than 50 percent of windows have already been installed, and what is left to be done are floors, toilets, partition walls, mortaring and whitewashing works.

The hall will be multifunctional and it will comprise, among the rest, an indoor tennis court, a big exhibition space, a restaurant, and a sports boutique.

According to Mr. Pejak, the restaurants is already completed and it still needs to be completely equipped and furnished.

- The restaurant will be at the service of athletes and tenants of the building Senior, which will mainly be adapted to fit the needs of the stay of senior people. The restaurant will have minimum 150 seats and it will be possible to rent it. We expect it to open in maximum 2.5 months.

The central part of the hall will be occupied by an exhibition space where, as Pejak explains, domestic and foreign companies will be able to exhibit their products.

In addition to an indoor tennis court, the hall will also have basketball baskets and mini football goal posts. According to Mr. Pejak, construction of a bawling room, shooting ground and badminton courses is also in the pipeline. The hall can also host various cultural events in Banja Koviljaca.

The company Euroimpex from Loznica is entrusted with the project of the sports and recreation center Paul and complete works.

As part of the planned complex, which will be the new center of Banja Koviljaca, construction of Vodoskok fountain, worth about EUR 35,000, was started about ten days ago.

- It is a replica of the famous Vodoskok that was once situated in the city center and is now replaced. The new fountain will be located in front of the sports hall Paul and it should be finished until August 1.

Pejak says that they hope to finish the construction of two residential and business buildings Marijana i Milan (M&M) in maximum one month.

- The main project design is completed and we now await permits. The facility about 58 meters long will span nearly 4,000 square meters. Two Marijana i Milan villas will have separate entrances and elevators. Rough estimates are that about EUR 3 million will be invested in their construction.

Completion of the future works will, according to Pejak, mostly depend on how quickly municipal bodies react, especially when it comes to the issuance of required permits.
