Hungarian Aquaprofit builds wellness center and hotel in Becej - €30 million for spa tourism development
Having recognized the opportunities for an efficient and multifunctional exploitation of geothermal potentials and thermal and healing waters of the Carpathian Basin, the company Aquaprofit and the municipality of Becej have decided to build a spa complex on the banks of the Tisa river.
As Eva Cabi from the municipality of Becej announced for eKapija, a modern wellness center with the annual capacity of 300,000 to 400,000 people will be built in the first phase, as well as a four-star hotel with 200 beds. The value of the first phase is EUR 30 million.
As she said, they still have no information about the second phase or when the construction should commence. According to her, the land is provided.
An agreement on cooperation between the Government of Vojvodina and the Ministry for the National Economy of the Republic of Hungary and the Declaration of Joint Intention between the municipality of Becej and Aquaprofit AD from Hungary will be signed on March 4.
The municipality of Becej and Aquaprofit will form a consortium to build a spa complex.
