Djokovic family builds spa center and restaurants next to tennis courts - Tennis complex at 40,000 square meters in New Belgrade

The Djokovic family, which brought a quality ATP tournament to Belgrade last year, plans to have a big tennis complex named Novak&Family built soon in New Belgrade, which will automatically draw the attention of tennis experts to our capital city.

If the idea of the Djokovics comes into reality, it is possible that eminent people from the world of tennis will visit Serbia and promote this region in the best possible way, through sport. In order for the customers from all around the planet to find that tennis complex attractive, the Djokovic family plans to ennoble it with additional catering facilities such as spa center and restaurants.

The tennis complex should be built on two connected lots at nearly 40,000 square meters, and the complex will also comprise a restaurant, a retail space, as well as a spa center. The spa center will include relax and Turkish baths, pedicure, manicure, hairdresser, cosmetician... This complex should be much bigger and generally more significant than the complex built in Dorcol.

Family Sport company, owned by the Djokovics, won that complex on the tender in 2008. It should be situated behind the settlement of Dr Ivan Ribar in New Belgrade, on 3.8 ha of land. A total of 26,543 square meters of facilities can be built on that land, plus 9,500 square meters of tennis courts. The allowed height of the future facilities is the ground floor plus three floors. The plans for these lots envisage the construction of buildings with the ground floor and three overground floors.

The sports and recreation center itself will comprise both indoor and outdoor courts, as well as a tennis arena with about 5,000 seats for the organization of international tournaments. That land has cost Family Sport over 11 million euros. The date of commencement of the construction has not been determined yet.
