Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia became member of FIDIC
Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia (ACES), which was founded in April 2009 in association with USAID's Project for development of competitiveness in Serbia, became a full-right member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) yesterday (September 16, 2009), which is the world's biggest organization that determines internationally acknowledged standards for management of building projects - USAID announced.
The request for membership in FIDIC was accepted during the annual FIDIC conference for year 2009, which was held in London.
The membership in FIDIC will provide international credibility to Serbian companies and make it possible for them to participate more successfully in large projects and tenders all around the world, which will increase incomes and number of employees in Serbian building sector.
Peter Bozvel, the Executive Director of FIDIC, said that "engineering-consulting services are the global business with unique standards, so that the membership in FIDIC is not only important because it will bring more work, but also because of the chance for influence on method of operations in this domain".
- Membership in FIDIC will make it possible for Serbia to access EU's funds for infastructural projects because the terms of these projects are based on FIDIC standards - said Bozvel.
Members of Serbian Association of Consulting Engineers are: "C&N Consult", "CPM", "Delta Invest", "Delta Inženjering", "DOMAA", "EC Harris", "Energoprojekt", "Fideco", "IK Consulting", "MACE", "Mašinoprojekt", "Mostprojekt", "Siemens", "Tahal", "VMS" and "YU Build" .
