Becej to get exclusive hotel Tisa Garden – All rooms to provide a view to the river
(The new hotel should be built in 2021) Known as a peaceful town in the heart of Vojvodina, Becej is becoming more and more interesting to tourists each year, and the accommodation capacities are always full, Nemanja Karapandzic, the director of the Tourism Organization of Becej, says for eKapija.
– There are several accommodation facilities on the territory of our municipality, with a total of 250-300 beds, and they are all filled out. Becej needs to increase its accommodation capacities and I believe that it will do so in the upcoming period – Karapandzic says.
This need has been recognized by the local company Knezev Grupa, and the plan is for Becej to get the luxury hotel Tisa Garden in 2021. The owner of the investing company, Dragan Knezev, recently said in a statement for local media that the construction of the hotel should cost around EUR 2 million and that around thirty people would be employed there.
The future hotel should take up slightly more than 3,000 m2 and feature a restaurant with a kitchen, a hunters' lodge and a congress hall.
– Hotel Tisa will have 25 double-bed rooms and two VIP apartments in the loft, as well as a roof garden with a bar. The hotel will have a pool, a tepidarium, a gym and a sauna – Zoran Djordjevic, the author of the architectural design from the company Meritus, told eKapija.
It's interesting that all rooms will provide a view to the Tisa river.
The director of the Tourism Organization of Becej says that what draws tourists to Becej is a little bit of everything and emphasizes that everyone who goes there leaves full of positive impressions.
– Our most frequent visitors are athletes, who come here for preparation, as Becej has a very well developed sports infrastructure – Karapandzic says and points out that the tourism organization is especially proud of the beautiful nature and the cultural heritage, which includes the Fantast complex, a legacy of Bogdan Dundjerski.
The 65-ha area features a castle, a horse farm, a chapel, a park and other facilities. The castle, an unusual combination of architectural styles, was built in the early 20th century and has great architectural value. Today, the location features a horseback riding school, and tourists can rent horses as well. A park with a variety of tree types and developed walking lanes is featured within the complex.
