"Interspeed" shopping mall to become "outlet center" - new model determined for space rental in Preševo

Shopping mall "Interspeed" in Preševo will be rented according to the new model of space rental, which will turn the facility at total surface of 19,000 square meters into a large "outlet center". "Interspeed" is only 400 meters away from the border crossing with Macedonia, next to highway E-75 that connects the north of Europe with Salonika in Greece.

- We have adopted a brand new lease concept, which anticipates search for anchors for "outlet" stores. The space in the mall will be rented on the period of seven to ten years, just like anywhere around the the world. If the mall is sold in the meantime, which is also one of the options, the new owner will have to respect the contracts signed with the existing tenants - Miroslav Kljajić, the Deputy Finance Director in "Interspeed holding", told "eKapija".

Kljajić explains that there are about 85 outlets for rent in the shopping mall, which has an underground floor, ground floor and two overground floors. The number of outlets also depends on how big outlets tenants want to rent.

- The walls within the facility can be moved, so that we can meet all the requests of the clients regarding the size of the space. The smallest outlet occupies the surface of about 20 square meters. There are about 13,000 square meters of office space. Our idea is to turn the underground floor into a storage and customs space - says Kljajić.

There are about 30 companies interested in renting the space in the shopping mall, among which are "Benetton", "Mona" and "Đak".

Kljajić says that the basic advantage of "Interspeed" shopping mall is proximity of "Corridor 10".
