Government of RS gave up cancellation of contract with "Delta-Zekstra"
The Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republic of Srpska (RS), Predrag Gluhaković, said today (May 12, 2009) that the Government of RS would not cancel the contract with Belgrade-based consortium "Delta-Zekstra" for takeover of department store "Boska" in Banja Luka.
According to electronic media, Gluhaković said that the representatives of that consortium had promised to pay the agreed price of 3m EUR within seven days.
- Although we have announced cancellation of the sales contract, that will, most probably, not going to happen because "Delta-Zekstra" has remained serious partner in the negotiations – said the Minister of Trade of Republic of Srpska.
According to his words, the period of seven days for payment of 3m EUR begins on Friday, May 15th, when the representatives of "Delta-Zekstra" should arrive in Banja Luka.
Consortium “Delta-Zekstra” signed the contract with the Government of Republic of Srpska in October 2008 on purchase of 58% of state-owned capital in department store "Boska" for 3m EUR, but those funds have never been paid, not even after the deadline for payment of money was extended on two occasions.
Gluhaković announced last week that the Government of RS would cancel the contract with "Delta-Zekstra".
