Construction of luxury complex Kalemegdan Park to continue in 2019?
(Illustration) Usce 2 office tower, the shopping mall on the corner of Vojislava Ilica and Mis Irbijeve streets and Navigator 2 business center in New Belgrade comprise this year`s triple endeavor of Petar Matic, owner of MPC Properties. This investment cycle is worth over EUR 200 million and has launched Matic back to the very top of the Serbian real estate market.
As Politika learns, next year, MPC Properties will finally start building exclusive apartments Kalemegdan Park, in close proximity to the pedestrian zone in Kneza Mihaila Street and the Belgrade Fortress, a cultural monument of great significance.
This prestigious location has been on hold for over a decade. The new project in the center of the city, with 20 exclusive apartments of 150 m2 each in the future four-story building and two penthouses, has been entrusted by MPC Properties to the local architectural company Bureau Cube Partners.
– A new preliminary design with an urban project has been prepared and location requirements have been obtained for the construction of Kalemegdan Park. The request for the issuing of the building permit has been filed and the old building permit will be canceled in the process – says a source of Politika familiar with this project worth around EUR 14 million.
In this complex between Uzun Mirkova, Kralja Petra, Gospodar Jevremova and Tadeusa Koscuska streets, Bureau Cube Partners cooperated with the Dusseldorf-based branch of the international architectural company Chapman Taylor.
The Milan-based branch of Chapman Taylor first designed the interior and a part of the facade of the Usce shopping mall facing Mihajla Pupina Blvd, and the preparation of a preliminary design for the Usce 2 office building, around 104 meters tall and featuring 22 floors, was then put in charge of the Prague branch.
Chapman Taylor Dusseldorf is also the author of the modern design of the 44,000-m2 shopping mall being built in the location of Industrija Precizne Mehanike in Zvezdara. This shopping mall has the same area as Usce.
Kalemegdan Park, a residential and office building, will have around 12,000 square meters, and in addition to the location, its assets include a fitness club, a pool, a children`s playroom, a bar, a conference hall, a private yard...
