In 2009, Palic will get a modern congress center on 700 square meters – construction of a golf field and wellness zone soon

In 2009, Palic will get within the existing “Big terrace”, a modern congress center on 700 square meters with 700 places capacity. Within “Big terrace”, which spreads on 4000 square meters, there will be also opened souvenir shops, beer servicing shop, restaurants as well as various shops, which will be officialy on lease in the next year. Already 80% of the works has been done on reconstruction of this object.

Construction of the congress center and contents, signed as the zone B (park zone), worth 400 million dinars represents only one more step in the final realization of the Master plan for development of Palic. 5 more zones is included in this plan: zone A (golf and water sports), zone C (wellness zone), zone D (sports zone and Lido), zone E (weekend section) and F zone (rural zone).

- Complete implementation of the Master plan for development of Palic, which means investments of around 120 million euros, can be expected hopefully for 6 to 7 years, stated for eKapija, Jasmin Secic, Deputy Mayer of Subotica, for infrastructure.

Secic mentioned that in the last 2 years they have invested 55 million dinars for infrastructural equipping of the park and the wellness zone.

- In the next year, there will be organized an uaction for getting in lease of 4 hectares of construction land in the wellness zone, where we have planned to build 4 hotels with pools and spa centers, which is an opporunity for the private sector to step in, as explained Mr.Secic, pointing out that there is already a great interest of both foreign and domestic investors for this project.

In 2009, there will be written elaborate of expropriation which is a precondition for construction of the golf field, and also documentation for the rural zone.

Implementation of the Plan in the park zone was already begun by the Directorate for construction of Subotica city, while finalization works in this zone as well as further realization of the Master plan was given to the hands of “Park Palic” company, formed by the Republic of Serbia, AP Vojvodina and Subotica city.

During the next year, it is also in plan to construction a sewage network for the future aqua park and present weekend section.
