Nikola Pekovic soon to start building luxury complex in Zlatibor including bus station
The former basketball player, who should start building a large commercial facility in the center of Zlatibor, will also have a bus station with eight platforms available in front of the complex.
The Municipality of Cajetina, which will soon start moving the bus station, sold the plot of land it is located in to Nikola Pekovic two years ago. His company, Balkan G.S. Change, recently expressed the wish not to move the entire station, but to have 8 of the total of 80 platforms to remain in front of his facilities. This has been approved by the Municipality of Cajetina.
– The investor wants to have several platforms for intercity and short route traffic in front of his building. His intention is for tourists to be provided with direct transport to his future commercial facility, and the platforms are to be used by both Pekovic's buses and regular buses. We have agreed that the planning act allows for this – the president of the municipality of Cajetina, Miloje Rajovic, explained for Blic.
Nikola Pekovic paid EUR 3 million to the municipality for the bus station plot in the most elite part of Zlatibor in early 2016 and announced the raising of a shopping center with office space and underground garages in the location in which urban plans envisage the construction of a large facility. Pekovic will thereby expand his business in the most visited tourist center in Serbia, having already built a deluxe hotel with 86 apartments there.
The works on Pekovic's new facility should start this year, when the Zlatibor bus station is to be moved next to the main road at the entrance to the tourist settlement as well.
