The indoor swimming pool complex in Subotica-based sports-recreation center “Dudova šuma” will be at bathers’ disposal at the end of the next year or at the beginning of year 2010. The Capital Investments Fund of Vojvodina provided 250m RSD for completion of construction, and the Contract on supply of finishing construction works on the swimming pools was signed at the end of June by company “Dijagonala“ from Novi Sad and the Directorate for Development of Municipality of Subotica.
- We expect that the project documentation will soon be ready, which will be followed by the determination of the dynamics of works. “Dijagonala” will first engage about 40 of its workers in this project, while the specific works will required engagement of companies that meet standards – said Radomir Tutorić from company “Dijagonala” in the interview for eKapija.
According to the announcement of the Directorate for Development of Municipality of Subotica, the first phase will see the internal organization of the complex, that is, construction of swimming pool baths and concrete stands, as well as completion of construction, covering of roof and the works on facades.
After the Subotica-based Civil Engineering Faculty made a correction in the preliminary project for construction of SRC “Dudova šuma”, instead of anticipated 8,600 square meters, the complex will not have 11,600 square meters of useful space, that is, the sports-recreation and office space.
Wellness center, bawling room with a bar and a concert hall will be settled on the underground floor of this facility, while four swimming pools will occupy 4,700 square meters. Construction of stands, press box, shopping zone, restaurants, coffee shops, locker rooms and spa centers is also in the pipeline.
About 350m RSD is needed for completion of the whole investment in SRC “Dudova šuma”, and the Directorate expects to get additional financial aid from the Executive Council of Vojvodina.
Construction of this complex within SRC “Dudova šuma” commenced over a decade ago, while the steel roof structure was installed in 2007.
