Delta starts building shopping mall in Banjaluka worth EUR 70 million – Opening in autumn 2018
(Future look of the Banjaluka shopping mall) Delta Real Estate started building the shopping mall Delta Planet in Banjaluka on June 29. The foundation stone was laid down by Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, and the 62,500-m2 center will be the biggest one in B&H. The opening of the mall, in which EUR 70 million is to be invested, is planned for the autumn of 2018.
– Delta Real Estate has announced that it will expand its business to the region and the countries of the EU. It is our pleasure to be able to confirm this by opening the construction site in Banjaluka. I want to thanks all the competent institutions for the cooperation, as we managed to acquire all the necessary permits for opening the construction site in two a half months – stated Dejan Jeremic, Senior Vice President of operations at Delta Holding.
The new shopping mall will bring famous global brands to Banjaluka, and, aside from the shops in the center, it will also feature a 1,500-m2 cinema with 5 halls, sporting the latest technology. The mall will have 1,000 parking spaces, a supermarket and a restaurant section.
More than 500 people will be working at the Delta Planet construction site, and 2,500 workers will be employed following the opening of the shopping mall.
Delta Real Estate, the company reminds, operates within Delta Holding and has so far built the Delta City shopping malls in Belgrade and Podgorica, Delta Park in Kragujevac and the Belville neighborhood in New Belgrade. The company is strategically expanding its operations to the region and the EU countries, and it will also open the InterContinental hotel in Ljubljana this year.
