“Supernova" from Graz to have trade center built in Zrenjanin – investment worth 5m EUR

The contract between Austrian company “Supernova” from Graz and city of Zrenjanin on construction of trade center was signed on April 14, 2008, in Zrenjanin.

The contract was signed by Mayor of Zrenjanin, Goran Knežević, the CEO of company "Supernova", Paul Merco, and the CEO of the Directorate for City Construction, Milorad Ponoćko.

On that occasion, it was announced to the press that the construction of trade center on the exit from Zrenjanin, along the main road to Novi Sad, would start in 2009 and that the investor would invest about 5m EUR.

Company "Supernova" is the result of fusion of company "m2" from Graz (Austria) and MTK- Immobilien from Vienna and it deals with development, planning, construction and management of trade centers and parks. Total portfolio of the company exceeded 1 billion EUR, and the annual level of investments range between 100 and 150m EUR.

It is present in the countries of central Europe - Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, for more than 15 years and it had the whole series of trade centers and shopping complexes built in these countries. With more than 30 shopping centers and about 20 of them in the phase of planning, company "Supernova" is one of the leading companies in this field and in the region.

Investment in Zrenjanin is one of the first in Serbia and it represents the beginning of this company’s investing in southeast Europe. The company started operations in Serbia last year, and its plan prior to year 2015 includes realization of 15-20 projects.
