Public Company "Babin zub" under jurisdiction of state - conditions create for announcement of international tender for hotel construction

By the unanymous decision of the board members of Town Hall of Knjaževac, the foundings rights of Public Company "Babin Zub", which occupies 70 ha of the most attractive land on Stara mountain, on the location where construction of the most luxurious hotels is planned, were placed under the jurisdiction of the state yesterday (March 17, 2008).

By the way, 1 ha of land on that location costs up to - 250,000 EUR.

- In this way, the conditions for announcement of international tender for construction of hotels on Stara mountain by urgent procedure have been created - said Gradimir Živković, Mayor of Knjaževac.

Let us remind, Master Plan for development of Stara mountain includes investments worth 300m EUR in construction of accommodation capacities.

The Mayor of Knjaževac points out that hotels, suites and weekend-cottages with 15,000 beds will be built on Stara mountain within 5-7 years. It is expected that few thousands of people would be hired.

According to the information provided by "Novosti", the land on Stara mountain has already been bought by numerous famous public people, and it entered the agenda of Town Hall of Knjaževac after suggestion sent to the board members by the Ministry of Economy.
