Belgrade detailed regulation plans available online
The detailed regulation plan of Belgrade has been made available on the website of the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency within the GIS application, which enables citizens to see what has been planned on their cadaster parcels, the City Administration reported on September 23.
City Manager Goran Vesic says that, prior to the introduction of the application, citizens had to go to the institutions of the city or the municipality in order to view the plan and adds that this can now be done with a single click.
– This facilitates planning projects on the parcels for the citizens owning them, and a reliable application such as this is useful to all local self-governments and state authorities as well – Vesic said.
The director of the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency, Branislav Popovic, pointed out that the creation of GIS had been supported primarily by the Agency’s services, which had recognized all the advantages of using such an application.
– The number of visits to GIS is growing year by year. Most visited are those sections related to the zones of the city of Belgrade, the digital land registry, urban plans and the latest General Regulation Plan of Belgrade – Popovic said.
GIS is the name for an assembly of computer equipment, programs and protocols designed to enable recording, editing, managing, handling, analyzing, modeling and displaying data with spatial reference, all to the end of solving complex problems in planning and managing building land, the report says.
