Indonesia requiring 250 ha for industrial center in Serbia – Which city can provide the land?
The ambassador of Indonesia to Serbia, Harry Kandou, stated in Cacak that an Indonesian company was interested in raising a big industrial center in Serbia and that it was looking for a city which could provide a plot of land of around 250 ha, along with the infrastructure.
He said at the press conference that there was a possibility of cooperation between the Indonesian investors and the city of Cacak and that he hoped that some of those investments would be implemented.
Kandou said, following the meeting with businessmen from Cacak and representatives of the city’s authorities, that his country was interested in continuing to invest in Serbia and cooperating with Serbian businessmen.
– I’ve chosen to visit Cacak, because I can see that this is a city with strong economic potential for our businessmen, who have already invested in Indjija and Kovin, in the pasta factory and a portobello mushroom plantation – said Kandou. The ambassador offered scholarships for students from Cacak who wished to go to undergraduate studies to Indonesia and specialize in the period of six to twelve months and invited those interested to address the Embassy in Belgrade.
The mayor of Cacak, Milun Todorovic, said that he hoped that a good cooperation would be established. He added that businessmen from Cacak had been invited to visit the business fair in Jakarta in mid-October.
