Israeli group Elbit Imaging, where Plaza Centers operate in, sold to an anonymous bidder land in Knez Milos street for EUR 15.9 m where there are ruins of the former MUP building and where a tower of 120 meters should have been built.

- The location of MUP has great potential to become a leading destination of Belgrade but as a mixed-purpose building it is outside the focus on entertainment and shopping centers. With management and procurement of permits and plans, we were able to achieve a higher price than EUR 13.5 m which was accounting value of facility- Don Keren, CEO of Plaza Centers said.

However, this sale does not mean that in this part of the capital a shopping mall or a hotel will not be built. Let us remind, minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic in April talked with the delegation of Afi Europe on implementation of the project in Knez Milos street, at the space of former building of federal Ministry of Internal Affairs.
