Construction of 270 apartments for refugees in Zemun - Investment valued at EUR 7 million
The signing ceremony of an agreement to build 270 apartments under the Regional Housing Project of Serbia (RSP), which will be inked by Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, Commissioner for Refugees and Migrations Vladimir Cucic and Project Management Unit Director Goran Kvrgic, will take place tomorrow in the Old Palace, the City Administration announced in a release.
As it was noted, these apartments will be built under the 5th RSP subproject, and this project is a joint multiyear program of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide permanent housing solutions for about 27,000 most endangered refugee families, that is, for about 74,000 people in the region, 45k of whom live in Serbia.
As part of the first component of the 5th RSP subproject in the Republic of Serbia, 270 apartments for 810 refugees living in the territory of Zemun will be built in that borough. This project is valued at EUR 7 million.
