Head of the Construction Directorate of Serbia, Nebosja Surlan, announced on Saturday, January 23, 2016 construction of the first settlement at the area of former "Aleksa Dundić" barracks in Zemun with more than 1000 flats and the works will start this or early 2017.

- Aleksa Dundic settlement will definitely have more than 100.000 square meters i.e. more than 1.000 flats but the details will be known when necessary urban plans are adopted – Surlan specified.

He said for Tanjug that, after experience with sale of flats at similar project "Stepa Stepanovic" in Vozdovac, smaller flats will be mainly built since they are most wanted due to payment capabilities of citizens.

- We will try to provide flat prices of up to app. EUR 70.000 so that the installment would be EUR 200 and 250 per square meter, at current indebtness rates – Surlan said.
